Vacuum Insulated Pipes, photo Chart Ferox vacuum-insulated pipe combines a proven experience and the expertise of the two leading worldwide suppliers of cryogenic and vacuum-insulated systems - CVI and MVE. The Chart Ferox approach to vacuum-insulated pipe-systems (VIP) serves customers in many significant ways.
Chart Ferox VIP use laminar radiation shielding within factory sealed vacuum annulus to produce a lower inherent heat leak than any other known method of insulation. This optimum efficiency minimizes vaporization of cryogens and provides a controllable high quality liquid when and where you need it.
Stainless steel construction and manufacturing excellence eliminate preventive maintenance and emergency shutdowns associated with more traditional insulated pipe systems.

Each Chart Ferox VIP system is fabricated, evacuated, tested, and shipped in prefabricated sections, or spools. Design flexibility is provided by combining rigid and flexible sections, which are joined by the unique Chart Ferox bayonet assemblies. Two types of bayonets are available, either a positive seal type utilizing the differential temperature contraction rates of Invar 36 and stainleVacuum Insulated Pipes, photoss steel, or a close tolerance, "Johnson" style bayonet. Both bayonet designs have long records of faultless operation and eliminate the need for costly field joints, leak checking and insulation. Bayonet joints allow for easy future expansion and re-configuration of vacuum-insulated pipe systems.

Each Chart Ferox vacuum-insulated system is custom engineered to include design consideration specific to the particular application. Chart Ferox also has a full "turn-key" capability of vacuum-insulated systems, including design analysis, economic evaluation, supports and accessories (valves, "keep full" devices, etc.) supply, installation and commissioning.
